Caltrans proposes to preserve the pavement of SR 28 by replacing the structural section in Tahoe City (PM 0.085 to PM 0.80). The remainder of SR 28 will be cold-planed and overlayed to the state line. Caltrans proposes to extend the life of existing drainage systems in poor condition by replacing or lining culverts.
