Document Description
Caltrans District 9 is proposing a pavement maintenance project in Kern County. The purpose of this project is to restore the pavement to a serviceable condition that will extend the pavement life and reduce Maintenance costs. A 0.13’ thin blanket of RHMA(Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt) will be placed on the eastbound lanes from EP to EP, with digouts to repair areas of failed pavement. Shoulder backing will be placed up to 3' from the EP. Thermo plastic stripe and markings will be removed and replaced. Work is only on the eastbound set of lanes.
