Document Description
The proposed project is located at the Eel River Bridge (No. 04-0016R) on US 101 at Post Mile 53.91 in Humboldt County. The purpose of the project is to perform geotechnical exploration to characterize subsurface conditions for the Eel River Bridge Seismic Retrofit project and aid in the design and construction of a new bridge and retaining wall. Nine (9), 4 to 6-in diameter vertical mud-rotary borings would be drilled at the location of each abutment, pier, and bent, and four (4) borings would be drilled at the proposed retaining wall located at the south end of the bridge.
