Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-HUM-14339-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Altan Chimedkhuyag. The project is limited to nine encroachments. One encroachment is proposed for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to Butte Creek. Water would be diverted for domestic use and irrigation. Work for the water diversion will include modification, use, and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. A second encroachment proposes to remove an existing water diversion structure from a stream. Five other proposed encroachments are to upgrade failing road/stream crossings. Two additional encroachments are proposed to remove trash, debris, and potting soil from streams and to stabilize a stream channel eroded by the unpermitted routing of stormwater to a stream. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
