Reclamation proposes to transfer up to 30,000 acre-feet (af) of water from New Melones Reservoir to Westlands Water District and south-of-Delta Central Valley Project contractors under Reclamation's Permit 16597. The Westlands portion of up to 16,000 af was approved. The south-of-Delta portion of up to 14,000 af was denied.
