Document Description
The project is to modify the existing compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station to include additional storage equipment and 36 “slow fill” dispensing equipment stations at the refuse collection vehicle parking area. The proposed dispensing equipment will use existing above ground compressors to fill the vehicles on an existing refuse collection vehicle parking area. The total proposed construction area is less than one acre.

The project consists of the continued operation of an existing facility resulting in negligible or no expansion of use beyond that previously existing and is therefore exempt from the provisions of CEQA. Note: CNG fueling stations are exempt from Air Quality District permits issued by the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (SMAQMD). The Branch Center Fuel Station Air Quality Permit (PO 21391) only applies to the gas dispensing operation at this facility.
