Reasons for Exemption
Class 3 – New Construction. The project proposes to construct a new boat ramp on a man-made channel on Clear Lake. The boat ramp is 27’ long and 14’ wide. The channel is currently dry due to drought conditions and will not impact water quality.
No littoral vegetation will be removed. All work in the lake will occur between October 15 and December 31. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
