Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes a project to clean, line, and/or replace culverts and drainage systems along State Route 5 (SR-5). The project is located approximately 0.6 mile north of the Halsey Canyon Road overcrossing (Bridge No. 53-3046) at post mile (PM) 57.0 to Vista Del Lago Road at PM 75.0 in the City of Castaic, Los Angeles County. The project would clean, line, and/or replace culverts and drainage systems, install a Gross Solids Removal Device (GSRD), and repair/ replace a sand shed. Please see appended Locations Spreadsheet for details. The replacement of pipes will require a 15-foot maximum depth of excavation. In addition, ground disturbance or vegetation removal will be required, no public utilities will be relocated and no new right-of way (ROW) will be acquired for the project. All work, including staging, will be performed in the States existing Caltrans right-of-way (ROW).
