Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes an HM project to replace the existing five Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) culverts on State Route 4 in Calaveras County near Avery, with five Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP-RGJ) culverts. The purpose of the proposed project is to repair the failed drainage system
and to extend the service life of State Route 4. The project is needed to prevent further deterioration of the paved highway surface. Construction will occur on both paved and unpaved surfaces within the Caltrans right of way.
