Document Description
Caltrans District 9 is proposing a project that will replace 17 existing census stations that have been identified as being in poor condition in multiple locations throughout the District. Work will occur in Kern, Inyo, and Mono counties on State Routes 14, 58, 178, 395, and 158. Each location has been assessed for replacement needs and work will include replacing in-pavement loops and/or cabinets, pull boxes, and conduit. Minor ground disturbance and trenching in previously disturbed areas will be required. All work and staging will occur in the disturbed shoulder and medians within the existing operational right of way. No known Environmental resources will be impacted.
