Bridge repairs, maintenance, and pedestrian/bicycle safety improvements including installation of maximum loading signs will be completed. The following work items are proposed: 1) Replace #7 10x18 Timber Floorbeam Identified by Bridge Maintenance Supervisor 2) Epoxy Inject all Existing 10x18 Timber Floorbeams to Increase Lifespan and Reduce Maintenance 3) Install Flashing on all Existing 10x18 Timber Floorbeams to Increase Lifespan and Reduce Maintenance 4) Remove and Replace Treated Decking Timbers 5) Remove and Replace Tire Boards for Kick Boards that Conform to Pedestrian Railing 6) Upgrade and Install Pedestrian Code Compliant Railing 7) Paint Entire Timber Bridge Elements 8) Install Access and Maximum Loading Signage 9) Re-grade and Rock Existing Pullout Area Adjacent to Bridge for Erosion Control and Safety 10) Install Bollards at Both Ends of Bridge

Reasons for Exemption
The Project consists of minor alteration of an existing public facility involving conversion of use for the existing Mosquito Bridge from vehicular to pedestrian and bicycle. The purpose of this Project is to make minor repairs, complete maintenance work, and construct safety improvements for code compliance. No work will enter or impact waterways or surrounding natural habitats. Engineering analysis and sign installations for access and maximum loading will also be performed.
