Document Description
Trinity Public Utilities District (TPUD) is proposing to install a new pole and appurtenant infrastructure in the State Route (SR) 3 right-of-way near the community of Hayfork. The pole would be located northwest of the intersection of SR 3 (PM 6.5) and Tule Creek Road, approximately 42 feet west of the pavement. The pole would be installed at a depth of seven feet; the excavation would be 20 inches wide. To support the new pole, a guy line would extend 20 feet west of the pole. Improvements also include a segment of aerial 12kV conductor that would be installed across SR 3, along Riverview and Tule Creek Roads, at a minimum height of 38 feet. The project is anticipated to be completed in 2 working days. No tree removal is proposed in the right-of-way.

The California Department of Transportation has determined that the project is categorically exempt in accordance with Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) Class 1 – Operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical support, or topographic features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The project would have no significant impact on the environment.
