Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes an overlay project on State Route 99 in Kern County from Hanawalt Avenue to County Line Road, post mile 48.4 to post mile 57.6. The project would cold plane the existing roadway and overlay with rubberized asphalt. In areas of deteriorated pavement, existing pavement would be removed and replaced. The purpose of the project is to maintain the existing roadway, the need is to repair failed pavement. No new right of way will be required. Work will be limited to the existing travel way and will not require vegetation removal. Night work will be required.
