Document Description
The project is limited to the installation and operation of two fixed geometry v-notch weirs for the measurement of streamflow in Weimar Creek and Redwood Creek, the upper headwaters of Franz Creek. The weirs will be constructed using a small concrete wall approximately 3.5-feet high with a stainless-steel weir plate affixed to the concrete frame to confine the flow to a known geometry. The stainless-steel weir plate will be installed in the creek after winter high flows cease and will remain in place until summer low flows. The weir structures will be reinforced with rebar and built directly on bedrock to minimize scour.
