Document Description
This project will include installation of a concrete generator pad, stationary generator, automatic transfer switch and associated electrical equipment in underground lines on city property. Electrical lines in conduit will be laid in a trench that is approximately 12” wide, 36” deep, and 35’ long. Trenching will be located no more than 25’ from Air Base buildings that were constructed in the late 60s/early 70s. The Chico Air Attack Base is in an industrial park associated with an airport surrounded by grassland at an elevation of 251’. The airport runway is approximately 300’ from the Chico Municipal Airport runway. The topography is flat where the work will be done and gently sloping on the surrounding area. The soil is a clay loam that has been compacted and paved; some area of soil that has been capped with gravel may be impacted. Construction is estimated to take approximately 12 days.
