Document Description
Notice of exemption for Coastal Conservancy approval of grant funding. Through this grant augmentation, MeWater Foundation (MeWater) will provide 90 surf and
ocean education camps to approximately 1,800 youth from low-income and trauma-impacted communities primarily from the City of San Francisco over the course of 2.5 years through 2025. Led by a team of mental health professionals and surfers, the project provides underserved and at-risk youth with access to their local beaches and coastal areas. Each camp concludes with a beach cleanup that serves the dual purpose of mitigating coastal pollution, while also fostering social responsibility and
understanding of environmental issues.
