Document Description
Notice of exemption for Coastal Conservancy approval of grant funding. Los Cerritos Wetlands Land Trust will take approximately 720 3rd and 4th grade students from Title 1 schools in the Long Beach Unified School District and Santa Ana Unified School District on a field trip to Los Cerritos Wetlands. Students, including those with disabilities, will participate in the “Estuary Explorers” program that was created specifically for the Los Cerritos Wetland outdoor classroom area. Students will begin with a brief lesson on the history of the Los Cerritos Wetlands and watersheds and divide into groups to explore the wetlands, planting native seeds and learning about local flora and fauna from a restoration ecologist.
