Document Description
This project will cut and chemically treat several patches of Arundo donax (giant reed) growing at the base of the bluffs at the northern end of San Elijo State Beach. Three patches are on the State Beach, and one patch is on City property near the stairs at Swami’s. Measures to be implemented to avoid impact may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator listed below.

No potential for significant impact to the environment is anticipated in compliance with CEQA §15300.2. If the project is implemented as indicated within the CDPR Project Evaluation Form, then it is exempt under CEQA §15304–Minor Alterations to Land. The action falls under the Departmental List of Exempt activities according to CEQA §15300.4 as: • “Resource management projects” (Class 4, Section 15304). The project does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees (Class 4).
