Document Description
Permittee shall remediate the project site by decommissioning two stream crossings on Class II tributaries to upper Soquel Creek by 1) at Location A: removing non-native material and performing minor excavation as necessary to stabilize the channel; and 2) at Location B: dipping out the existing crossing, removing 30-40yd3 of fill to re-establish a well-defined channel, and laying back of banks at no greater than 3H:1V as directed by the consulting engineer.

Reasons for Exemption
The project footprint is less than 5 acres in size and will not impact sensitive or
endangered plants or animals. No hazardous materials exist in or around the project. The project purpose is to decommission and restore two stream crossings and remove associated sediment, trash and debris. This will reduce sediment input resulting from the crossings, thereby improving instream habitat and water quality for benefit of wildlife and resources.
