Document Description
This safety project would construct a high-tension median barrier for approximately 2.4 miles along the median of Interstate 5 between post miles 49.7 and 52.1 in Kern County. The project proposes to place a high-tension cable median barrier consisting of four metal cables strung on 5-foot metal poles that are spaced at regular intervals with concrete foundation. Work would occur in the Caltrans right-of-way within the median and no work is proposed along the outside shoulder.
