Document Description
Description of, Nature, and Purpose of Project: The project would involve vegetation management consisting of the removal of high risk trees located on Peralta Creek (Zone 12 Line F) between Brookdale Avenue and Berlin Way, in the City of Oakland. Sixteen (16) non-native trees, consisting of eucalyptus and acacia will be removed for public safety due to poor condition and/or weak structure that cannot be corrected, and to reduce fuels for fire hazard reduction purposes. The trees are growing in a narrow flood control easement between properties and are in close proximity to residential structures. All work will be on Flood Control District property and easements.
