Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), proposes maintenance repairs on three bridges on Interstate (I) 5 from post mile (PM) R12.99 to 13.90, in San Joaquin County. The scope of work at Bridge No. 29-0032L, PM R12.99, includes polyester concrete overlay and joint seal replacement. The scope of work at Bridge No. 29-0029L, PM R13.87, includes polyester concrete overlay, joint seal replacement, approach slab replacement, and repair of the concrete edge spalls at abutment. The scope of work at Bridge No. 29-0029R, PM R13.87, includes polyester concrete overlay, joint seal replacement, approach slab replacement, repair of the concrete edge spalls at abutment, and repair of the concrete edge spall on the bottom of the box girder near Bent 3. All work will occur within Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to provide preventative maintenance to deteriorating sections of these bridges. The project is needed to minimize future rehabilitation needs and maintain the bridge functionality.
