Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes replacing two (2) culverts on State Route (SR) 49 in Amador County, at postmiles (PM) 16.83 and 19.98. The scope of work at PM 16.83 includes replacing the existing 18-inch Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) culvert with a 24-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP). The scope of work at PM 19.98 includes replacing the existing 24-inch CMP culvert with a 30-inch RCP. All work will occur within existing Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to correct the damaged and failing culverts, which threaten the functionality of SR-49. The project is needed to ensure motorist safety over these drainages.
