Document Description
The Project includes the placement of 16-inch minimum (200-pound) rock slope protection (RSP) along the bank of the Sacramento River to provide protection against erosion and to stabilize the bank. Prior to the placement of RSP, portions of the bank will be excavated to form a slope of 0.75:1. Soil will be excavated, RSP fabric will be placed, and RSP will be installed approximately 3.3 feet thick. In addition, a large hole that has eroded on the bank near the western end of the property will be filled with RSP so that the river does not cut farther into the bank in this area. Following the placement of RSP, the area disturbed by construction activities will be planted with vegetation similar to that currently existing on the bank of the river at the site.
