Document Description
The project involves updates to the Housing Element (HE) for 2021-2029, updates to the Safety Element (SE), and incorporation of environmental justices goals, policies, and objectives in Duarte's General Plan. The HE Update establishes programs, policies, and actions to further the goal of meeting the housing needs of all family income levels, and provides evidence of the City's ability to meet the housing need as determined by the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) for the 2029 Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA). The SE Update will ensure consistency with the HE Update and comply with recent State laws.
