Document Description
Approval of Permit No. 19644, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: To install two (2) 30-inch diameter welded steel storm drain discharge pipes through the right (east) bank levee of the San Joaquin River. Additional improvements include installing a concrete outfall structure with removable guardrails along the riverbank; and placing 175 linear feet of erosion protection material along the waterside slope and surrounding the outfall structure. A temporary cofferdam will be installed during construction, the area within the cofferdam will be dewatered by pumping into ponds or tanks on the landside of the levee to allow for settling prior to discharging to the river. In addition to the encroachments listed above, a stormwater pumping plant, control building, chain link fence, levee access ramp, 500-foot long 66-inch diameter welded steel pipe (pumping plant intake), and 2,700-foot long 48-inch diameter welded steel pipe (pumping plant discharge) will be constructed parallel to the existing landside seepage berm toe and within the existing flood control easement.
