Responsible Agency Findings on the MND for the Tower Energy Project /Borrego Medical Center Project, certified by the City of Coachella on July 13, 2016, in conjunction with Addendum #1 and Addendum #2, certified by the City of Coachella on April 17, 2019 and July 21, 2021, respectively, adequately addressed the environmental effects of that part of the project that involves the IID, specifically the upgrade of IID distribution power lines & facilities to enable the IID to provide electrical service to the project. IID will use these findings in approving that portion of the project involving IID. The project involves the proposed Change of Zone, Conditional Use Permits, Tentative Tract Map 37088 and Architectural Review to change the zone from Residential Single Family (R-S) to Neighborhood Commercial-Planned Development (CN-PD) and Residential Medium-Planned Development (R-PD); construct a gas station and neighborhood market and two additional commercial buildings and to subdivide 15 acres into 4 parcels and to further subdivide parcel 4 into 115 single family residential lots with private streets and common area lots.
