Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to increase disposal capacity at the Gold Run Safety Roadside Rest Area (SRRA) between postmiles 41.1 and 42.2 on Interstate 80 in Placer County. The purpose of the project is to increase disposal capacity prior to winter repair by constructing an underground wastewater piping bypass network between existing ponds 1, 2, and 3. The project is needed as the system is underperforming due to limited capacity. The bypass will allow pond 2 to be drained for work to begin on correcting infiltration issues. All work is within the State right of way.
