Document Description
The purpose of this project is to develop and implement a Reforestation Prescription to maintain a sustainable population of Torrey Pine (Pinus torreyana) and native plant communities at the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. Local seed will be collected, grown and planted in a pilot program to test growing conditions to protect park resources. Measures to be implemented to avoid impact may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator listed below.

If the project is implemented as indicated within the CDPR Project Evaluation Form including conditions provided by CDPR staff, then it is exempt under CEQA §15304– Minor Alterations to Land. The action falls under the Departmental List of Exempt activities according to CEQA §15300.4 as: “Resource management projects” (Class 4, Section 15304) The project does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees (Class 4).
