Working in thirteen disadvantaged communities (DACs) in Kern County to conduct a Safe Routes to Cyclists Public Outreach Program that includes safety education, tools, special events, and identification of road issues. The program will convene thirteen each: stakeholder meetings, bicycle skills/safety classes, community event outreach. Bike to Work Day and Rideshare Week challenges will increase safe bicycle use in Kern DACs.

Under the provisions of Section 15262 of the State CEQA guidelines, this action is statutorily exempt from the requirements of CEQA and the State CEQA guidelines concerning the evaluation of projects, further environmental review, and the preparation and review of environmental documents.
