Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
A Categorical Exemption Class 1 Section 15301(d) – Restoration or rehabilitation of deteriorated or damaged structures.
Reasons for Exemption
No littoral vegetation will be removed. All work will occur when water level is low and will not be bound by the local work window. No environmental impacts are identified. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats. The placement of the rip rap will reduce erosion of the bank from wind and wave action, thereby improving water quality. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
