Document Description
Notice of Exemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301, Class 1 (Existing Facilities); and Section 15303, Class 3 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures). The proposed project consists of the installation of 55 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations and associated Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) at the LADWP Truesdale Fleet and Maintenance Yard. The project consists of installing 12 Level 3 (50 kW) chargers and 43 Level 2 (6.6 kW) chargers. Work includes excavation to install new equipment, including transformer pad, switchboards pad, and conduit trench for new 5000A electrical service to be used for EV charger installation. Construction will utilize an approximately 38 foot x 30 foot staging area on-site. The chargers will be used to charge LADWP fleet vehicles and will not be open to the public. Construction is anticipated to begin in Summer 2022.

The proposal to install EV chargers at the existing Truesdale Fleet and Maintenance Yard meets the requirements of the exemption; therefore, no further CEQA review is required.
