Document Description
Existing right of way (R/W) fence along northbound east side of the sound wall of Route 5 (l-5) are damaged and deteriorated. The purpose of this project is to prevent and discourage trespassing on State's right-of-way. There is a need to keep pedestrians from entering the States' property and endangering the safety of the traveling public and prevent the damage to Caltrans assets. The Roadside Maintenance Project proposes to remove and replace the existing damaged right of way fences and install more secure fending consisting of wrought iron fence at entry points, including removing and replacing access gates, and fix slopes where needed along northbound 1-5 between postmile 31.1 and postmile 31.5 in San Joaquin County.
