Document Description
Project will improve the Stockton Terminal & Eastern Railways (STE) mainline, including rail replacement of 17,136 linear feet between mileposts 0.0-2.77 (requires 737 crossties and 843 tons to ballast). Includes additional tie and surfacing work along 3.61 miles of the STE mainline between mileposts 1.49 and 4.60 (requires using 2,329 tons of ballast and 2,223 ties to perform 23,010 track feet of tie and surfacing). Additionally, the project contemplates replacing 17 antiquated turnouts within the same work area; replacing 223’ of concrete grade crossing surface along with 168 tons of asphalt; replacing 1,029 linear feet of pipe within those crossing limits; and installing 17 new sets of passive grade crossing signage.
