Document Description
The project is limited to enhancement of Steelhead Creek through trash, debris, and invasive species removal. Considerable amounts of anthropogenic trash have accumulated on the channel bottom of the creek channel including but not limited to plastic tarps, textiles, and large items such mainly shopping carts, tires, and mattresses. The project is intended to remove these items to rehabilitate the creek bed to improve substrate functionality for aquatic organisms, reduce encumbrances to fish passage and improve flood conveyance. This project proposes to remove the larger debris embedded in the channel using a team of draft horses on the bank.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 because the project includes only includes maintenance at existing facilities and involves no expansion of the existing use. Class 4 because the project is a private alteration in the condition of land which does not involve the removal any of healthy, mature, or scenic trees.
