Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes culvert repairs and/or replacement at two (2) different locations – at post mile 28.36 on State Route (SR) 88 in Amador County (Loc 1), and at post mile 4.51 on SR-132 in Stanislaus County (Loc 2). The scope of work at Loc 1 includes flushing the existing culvert system, constructing an expanded G2 drainage inlet, and installing a 24” Corrugated Steel Pipe (CSP) extension and concrete collar to better connect the two existing culvert pipes. The scope of work at Loc 2 includes replacing the existing 30” CSP culvert with a 36” Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) culvert and installing a flap-gate at the outlet. Right of Way (ROW) acquisition is required at each location. The purpose of this project is to repair and/or replace the damaged culverts to avoid roadway failure at these 2 locations. The project is needed to ensure motorist safety across these drainages.
