Reasons for Exemption
The Project is categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to the CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) since the operation and permitting of the existing cannabis cultivation site involves no expansion of the existing use. The cultivation site was used for agricultural and grazing uses prior to planting of cannabis. No new roads or structures were constructed or will be required for the Project. In addition, no new ground disturbance has occurred, or will occur, as a result of the Project. Therefore, the Project will not expand the existing use or facilities of the Property.
