Document Description
The projects are limited to the installation of six watercourse crossings on approximately 1.5 miles of existing road to provide access for masticator, tracked chipper, midi-excavator, and support off-road vehicle (ORV) (support ORV with fuel cell and fire suppression) to implement a fuels reduction project (funded by Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC)) within Nevada Irrigation District property. The fuels reduction work will be completed by masticator, hand crews, and chipper. All rocked fords will have rock added to the crossing to protect the streambed. Once the project is completed, the rock will be sloped back for bank and channel stabilization. The trench plates will be placed in a manner not to disturb the streambed and will be removed upon completion of the project and before the winter period.
