California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Board of Parole Hearings (BPH), currently leases approximately 8,695 square feet (sf) of office space on the 5th Floor and approximately 23,824 sf on the 6th Floor at 1515 K Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. The combined total leased space for the 5th and 6th Floors is 32, 519 sf. Notice of Exemption
Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15301Class 1
Reasons for Exemption
The project is categorically exempt from CEQA under the “Class 1” (14 CCR §15301) exemption per the CEQA Guidelines because the project involves negligible to no expansion of use. The project site is not in an environmentally sensitive area and none of the exceptions to this exemption are applicable. This is one of a class of projects that the Secretary for Resources has found do not have a significant effect on the environment, and therefore is declared to be categorically exempt from the requirement for preparing an environmental document.
