Document Description
Caltrans proposes a pavement preservation maintenance project on Pacific Coast Highway 1 between Sycamore Canyon Road to 0.2 mile south of Calleguas Creek Bridge in Ventura County (excluding Bridge No. 52 0011). The proposed work would cold plane existing asphalt concrete pavement and place 0.15-foot Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt-Gap Graded (RHMA-G) on the mainline and shoulders, replace asphalt concrete surfacing and place shoulder backing. The project also includes removal of existing thermoplastic traffic stripes and replacing with Enhanced Wet-Night Visibility (EWNV) traffic stripes and pavement markings, removal of existing pavement markers and replacing with retroreflective recessed markers. No excavation is proposed. No public utilities will be relocated, and no right-of way would be acquired for the project.
