Document Description
The proposed project would renovate Smith Park at 232 West Broadway in San Gabriel, California (91776), which is generally bounded by West Broadway (to the north), Junipero Serra Drive (to the west), Clary Avenue (to the south), and South San Marino Avenue (to the east). Smith Park is approximately 6 acres; the size of the park would not change as a result of the proposed project. The proposed project would include, but is not limited to, the following: • Renovation of/expanded pool; • Expanded pool building; • Addition of Pickleball court and resurfacing the existing tennis and/or Pickleball courts; • Addition of park ''family" restrooms; • Added pathways throughout the park; • Installation of LED lighting; • Installation of drought-tolerant landscaping; • Installation of low-flow toilets I sinks in restrooms and locker rooms; • Installation of the following recreation elements: all-abilities playground, outdoor fitness stations, concrete corn hole game area, concrete game tables; and • Replacement of drinking fountains with water-refill stations. These improvements are contingent upon the receipt of Prop. 68 grant funding from the State of California
