The CAL FIRE Rincon Fire Station is scheduled to be replaced on the existing site located at 16971 CA-76 in Pauma Valley, California. During demolition and reconstruction, the staff will need to relocate temporarily so that fire suppression activities can continue without interruption.
CAL FIRE will be leasing property that can accommodate temporary modular buildings. The property is located 1.5 miles north of the existing fire station at 16160 CA-76, Pauma Valley, CA 92061. The area to be leased sits behind the Pauma Valley United States Post Office and consists of 1.65 acres.
The temporary structures consist of one modular sleeping unit (36’ x 60’) and one office trailer (12’ x 40’). Temporary electrical service will be provided by connecting to an existing power pole (San Diego Gas and Electric), water will be provided by a temporary aboveground water pipeline, and onsite sewer will be stored and pumped out as required.
The site is flat and is graded (disturbed) and is not directly visible from the highway. Minor grading may be required, and no vegetation will be removed. The buildings will house approximately 8 to 18 personnel depending upon fire incident occurrences. The lease time period will be two to three years depending upon the completion of the existing fire station replacement project.
