The bridge was damaged by a single vehicle collision on or about May 31, 2021. The bridge has been closed and a temporary detour has been established. The collision necessitated repair work for the replacement and/or straightening of damaged steel members, replace/repair the damaged guardrail system and other incidental work necessary to reestablish use of the fracture critical bridge. Once these repairs are completed the detour will be removed and the bridge and roadway will be open for use by the public.
