Document Description
The amendment adds 200 feet along the bank to the project area on the southern end of the previously permitted project. In the additional area, the project is limited to the removal of Arundo donax on the waterside levee slope, the installation of up to 200 feet of sheet wall to stabilize the levee to ensure safety to any residents at Rough and Ready Island. The engineered sheet wall may be installed between levee stations 258+00 and 260+00, where work will occur on the upper portion of the levee on the water side. The project site impacted consists of concrete hardscaping and non-native landscaping. Straw wattles or silt fences will be installed at the existing wood retaining wall to prevent sediment materials from entering watercourses.
