Document Description
The project is limited to the reconstruction of a municipal trail and the stabilization of both banks of Moraga Creek caused by a landslide and ongoing creek bank erosion. A two-tiered stitch pier stabilization wall (wall) will be installed on the west bank, which includes tieback anchors, a drainage system, and the excavation and later use of
approximately 1,922 cubic yards of soil. The lower section of wall will be 350 feet long and the upper section at 460 feet long. The east bank will undergo minor regrading activities by hand and have biodegradable erosion control features installed. Debris deposited into the creek during the landslide event will be removed by long reach
excavators operated from outside of the wetted portions of the channel, and will not require dewatering.
