Document Description
State Route 223 in Kern County near Arvin, postmiles R10.6 to R15.7 and R16.3 to R20.1. Construction signage will be placed at PM R10.4 and extending to 20.3.The proposed scope includes placing a polymer asphaltic emulsion chip seal over the existing surface of the entire length of the project as well as digouts, where necessary. In areas requiring digouts the surface would be cold planed to a depth of 0.25’ and replaced with 0.25’ HMA). Removal and replacement of traffic stripes, markings, and pavement markers will occur both with cold plane and grinding of the traffic marking itself. There is no shoulder backing or work off pavement.
