Document Description
The project is limited to the repair and stabilization of two creek bank locations, close in proximity, and the reconstruction of a partially collapsed roadway on Bear Creek Road caused by ongoing creek bank erosion. A 72-foot-long timber lagged soldier pile wall with traffic control features, including a guard rail and minor concrete vegetation control, will be constructed at the northern location. The southern location will be regraded and recompacted with engineered fill, yet also have a guard rail and minor concrete vegetation control installed. The repair will utilize portions of the damaged and existing fall line earthen drainage pattern. A new drainage system will be installed yet will connect to an existing storm water outfall. Excavated, regraded, and disturbed areas susceptible to erosion will be stabilized with rock slope protection, biodegradable erosion control features, hydroseeding, replanting, and minor pavement repair.
