Document Description
This project will allow Oceano Dunes District to improve facility security, improve fleet and employee parking, and provide increased state-housing within the existing corporation yard footprint.
This is for the construction of a new parking area along the eastern boundary of the Pismo State Beach Corporation Yard, and will allow for changes in traffic circulation, minor modifications to employee housing, and visual screening from the highway.
This project will involve removal of non-native/ornamental surface vegetation which will be replaced with approx. 120 cubic yards of road base to support a new parking area. Installation of a new chain link fence (approx. 325 linear feet) will enclose the new parking area. Native vegetation will be planted along the new fence line to provide visual screening from the highway.
The current state-housing footprint accounts for approximately one-quarter acre of existing department housing property and supports two manufactured home concrete pads and substantial outdoor residence space. This project will optimize the use of this one-quarter acre property, redefine state-housing boundaries, and may increase state-housing accommodations up to two additional units. Trenching will be done in pre-disturbed soils in the current state-housing residential area in order to remove abandoned utilities and upgrade and install new utilities which meet current city/state building codes.

Project includes installation of new utilities for the state houses. There are no exceptions to the exemptions that apply.
