Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (# EPIMS-SDO-17710-R5) to the project applicant, City of San Diego. The overall project involves the replacement and rehabilitation of approximately 4.7 miles of the 6.5-mile long Tecolote Canyon Trunk Sewer. It also involves access improvements to minimize damage associated with future emergency repairs, and will include stream crossings, manhole protection, and new access pathways. Project activities subject to Fish and Game Code Section 1602 will occur at 12 locations. At three existing road crossing locations, the road and ephemeral stream channel will be regraded, existing riprap will be removed, and an at-grade ford consisting of articulating concrete block and riprap will be constructed. At four existing road crossing locations, the access road will be improved and repaired by trimming vegetation and using mechanical equipment to “smooth” the roadway. Oak trees may be trimmed with the presence of an arborist, as necessary for equipment access. At one location, a pipe suspended over the waterway and the columns that support it will be replaced. At four locations, trenching will occur within the stream channel to complete sewer line improvements.
