The Project includes the development of 3.34 acres of undeveloped land into a 50,06-square-foot warehouse, parking lot and entrance way, outdoor storage yard, and landscaping. Additionally, 0.06 acres of undeveloped land along the edge of the 3.34 acres will be used to complete curb and fencing installation. Project activities include using heavy equipment to grub and grade the entire Project site, trench digging, building and access road construction, landscaping, and other activities.
The Project will result in permanent impacts to 3.34 acres of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) upland habitat and temporary impacts to 0.06 acres of California tiger salamander upland habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of California tiger salamander, which is designated as a threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
The current amendment, Amendment 1, extends the date by which the Permittee must either purchase 6.80 acres of Covered Species credits from a CDFW-approved mitigation or conservation bank OR provide for both the permanent protection and management of 6.80 acres of Habitat Management lands from 18 months to 30 months after the effective date of the ITP if Security is provided.
